GHHS Men: second in state championship; polin 4th individually

The Green Hope High School Men’s Golf Team wrapped up what, on all accounts, can only be considered a highly successful season:

  • 2nd in the team competition (losing by only 3 shots to Charlotte Catholic High School);
  • Team Member, Quinlan Polin, earned 4th place in the individual competition and shot the third lowest score over the two days (a one-over-par 73)
  • Coach Nate Denton earning runner up in State Coach Competition
  • Team Member, Will Mitchell earning the team “Sportsmanship” award.

There are 981 High Schools in North Carolina, 77 in the highest “4A” division (GHHS’s division). So this really is a fantastic achievement.
